Wind Ensemble completes nine-day West Coast tour
The Kansas State University Wind Ensemble just finished a nine-day tour that featured performances in Fresno, California; Las Vegas, Nevada; and Boulder, Colorado.
The Wind Ensemble received two distinct and prestigious performance invitations. The first invitation was to the premier Gala Concert college band at the Lawrence Sutherland Wind Festival March 12 in Fresno. The other invitation was the College Band Directors National Association, or CBDNA, to perform at the Southwest divisional March 18 in Boulder. Both invitations are very prestigious and mark two significant achievements in the program history of the K-State Wind Ensemble. The ensemble also performed at Foothill High School for one of the top high school band programs in the country on March 14 in Henderson, Nevada.
The ensemble performed at a very high level and represented the artistic potential of our students well. The Wind Ensemble will present its final concert of the semester at 7:30 p.m. May 1 in McCain Auditorium.
