New Spanish translation minor offered by modern languages department
The modern languages department now offers a minor in Spanish translation. This new minor equips students to recognize the circumstances under which they can ethically provide translation or interpreting services, and provides a foundation for those interested in pursuing additional training to become professional translators or interpreters.
Students completing the Spanish translation minor develop professional writing skills in both languages and demonstrate culturally and linguistically effective basic Spanish-English translation skills in a variety of subject areas.
Detailed course requirements are available online. Questions about the new program may be directed to Laura Kanost at lakanost@k-state.edu.
