The Kansas State University College of Business Administration has promoted Eric Higgins to the level of associate dean.
Higgins has been a part of the college's faculty for the past 15 years, starting as an assistant professor of finance in 2001. He is the college's von Waaden Chair of Investment Management, and has served as the head of the department of finance since fall 2008.
In addition to his duties as department head, Higgins' expanded role as associate dean will include overseeing accounting, budgeting and scholarships at the college level. He also is charged with overseeing the college's hiring and human resources functions, as well as the coordination of the college's Assurance of Learning activities.
"We are excited to welcome Dr. Higgins into the role of associate dean," said Kevin Gwinner, Edgerley family dean of the College of Business Administration. "His prior administrative experience and vast experience in the areas of budgeting and finance make him a perfect fit for this role."
