Cheryl Johnson, vice president for human capital services, has announced her resignation from Kansas State University to become vice chancellor and chief human resources officer at the University of Pittsburgh. Johnson joined K-State in July 2014 as the university's first vice president for human capital services.
"We thank Cheryl Johnson for her service to Kansas State University and wish her all the best in her new position," said Gen. Richard Myers, interim president of Kansas State University. "Cheryl has been a driving force in leading the transformation of our university's human resources functions into one entity, as well as efforts to ensure competitive recruitment, retention and compensation practices to attract and retain the best faculty and staff for K-State."
A national search for a new vice president for human capital services will be conducted. Details on timeline, search committee membership and the process will be announced soon and published on the president's website and in K-State Today.
