A community united: K-State United Way campaign kicks off Oct. 23
Submitted by Communications and Marketing
K-Staters' long-standing tradition of supporting the United Way strengthens our local community, helping friends and neighbors when they need it most. This year's K-State United Way campaign is Oct. 23-Nov. 6.
The annual campaign is a fundraising effort for Konza United Way, which supports Clay, Marshall, Pottawatomie, Riley, Wabaunsee and Washington counties by creating long-term social change that produces healthy, educated and financially stable individuals and families.
K-Staters are encouraged to contribute to the campaign any time through Employee Self Service. For more information on Konza United Way visit konzaunitedway.org.
Learn more about the campaign and how your donation makes a difference at a public kickoff event from 9:15-10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1, in the K-State Alumni Center ballroom. The event will include a presentation from United Way agencies and Bruce Weber, men's basketball head coach.
Individuals who contribute to the campaign will be entered into a drawing for a parking pass or one day off with pay. Drawings will take place at the end of the campaign.
Every gift makes a difference, and real change can't happen without you.
