Wildcats encouraged to take #JustDrive pledge
Submitted by Communications and Marketing
Kansas State University is currently ranked fifth in the competition against seven other Kansas universities for the Kansas Insurance Department's Don't Text #JustDrive campaign.
The campaign encourages drivers to make a pledge to not text and drive. The university with the highest percent of pledges compared to 2016 enrollment by Nov. 22 will win.
As part of the campaign, AT&T will sponsor a texting-while-driving simulator from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15, in the K-State Student Union's courtyard.
K-Staters are encouraged to show Kansas that Wildcats don't text and drive by taking the pledge:
"No text message, email, website or video is worth the risk of endangering my life or the lives of others on the road. I pledge to not text and drive and will take action to educate others about the dangers of texting while driving. No text is worth the risk. It can wait."
Take the pledge online or text Wildcat to 50555.
