Yong-Cheng Shi receives Phil Williams Applied Research Award from American Association of Cereal Chemists International
Yong-Cheng Shi, professor of grain science and industry, received the Phil Williams Applied Research Award from American Association of Cereal Chemists International.
Shi delivered an award lecture on "Developing Starch Products for Nutritional, Food, and Industrial Applications" at the association's annual meeting Oct. 24 in Savannah, Georgia.
Established in 2005, the Phil Williams Applied Research Award is presented for a significant body of distinguished contributions to the application of science in the cereals area.
As a recipient of the award, Shi also is accorded the status of fellow for his contributions leading to this award.
