Online Essentials participants present 'Show and Tell' Jan. 11
Kansas State University Global Campus invites you to its "Show and Tell" event for K-State Online Essentials graduates.
Taught by Lisa Craft, instructional designer at Kansas State Polytechnic Campus, this rigorous blended course equips instructors with best practices and technology tools for online teaching.
This capstone event will be from 1:30-3 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2017, in Hale Library's Hemisphere Room.
At the event, participants in the 2016 K-State Online Essentials faculty development course and K-State faculty awardees who attended a 2016 distance conference will present short, five-minute demonstrations of the strategies and tools they have learned. Faculty and staff who are interested in online teaching are encouraged to attend.
A list of attendees sharing their expertise at the event will be available in early January.
"I was truly amazed at the innovation and creativity of the faculty at the 'Show and Tell' last year," said Bronwyn Fees, associate dean, K-State College of Human Ecology. "The training expanded their strategies for engaging students with the content and with one another tremendously."
Faculty or staff interested in taking part in the 2017 K-State Online Essentials faculty development course should contact Laura Widenor, K-State Global Campus faculty services coordinator, at lwidenor@k-state.edu.
