Participants needed for youth health promotion research study

Attention parents of girls in third to seventh grades, ages 8 to 13 years.
- Are you concerned about your daughter's fitness level or eating habits?
- Does your daughter have concerns about body image or self-esteem?
- Has your daughter been picked on or bullied because of her weight?
- Could your daughter benefit from a big-sister-type role model?
If so, she may be eligible for a special program led by K-State researchers at the Physical Activity and Nutrition Clinical Research Consortium. Sara Rosenkranz, assistant professor of food, nutrition, dietetics and health; Brooke Cull, research assistant; and Richard Rosenkranz, associate professor of food, nutrition, dietetics and health, are currently recruiting female children, ages 8 to 13 years, for a health promotion study of the comparative effectiveness of two home-based coaching intervention programs through a randomized controlled trial.
All ethnic and racial groups are welcome to participate in the study.
