New sustainability resources at K-State Libraries
With Earth Day coming up, April is a natural time to talk about sustainability. Sustainability research encompasses a variety of disciplines at K-State, from sustainable agriculture, natural dyes, and sustainable textiles to sustainable business practices, biofuels, and LEED building design. Recognizing this, K-State Libraries strives to support the diversity of sustainability research on campus by providing access to an amalgam of online and print resources. The following is a small selection of our books, journals, and databases related to sustainability research:
Databases
- BuildingGreen: Provides information designed to help architects and those in construction to identify and use materials which will improve the environmental performance and reduce the adverse impact of buildings. Information about sustainable and environmentally friendly products is provided.

In addition to resources, K-State Libraries has a team of librarians with complementary knowledge and skills to assist you with research, instruction or adding materials to the collection. This team includes Ellen Urton and Stephanie Cold from the undergraduate and community services department; Livia Olsen from faculty and graduate services; and Diana Farmer from collection development and acquisitions. K-Staters should feel free to contact any of these librarians with questions or requests.
