Interregional college roller hockey tournament on campus this weekend
The National Collegiate Roller Hockey Association will host an official interregional college roller hockey tournament at K-State Saturday, Feb. 18, and Sunday, Feb. 19, at the Chester E. Peters Recreation Complex.
Twelve teams representing three of the seven national regions will compete in the tournament. The tournament will be one of the largest college roller hockey interregional events in the nation this season and will be the final regular league play games before playoffs to decide regional champions.
The K-State team will play at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, and 8 a.m., 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 16. These four games will be the last regular season games the team will play this season. Currently, the team is in first place in the Great Plains Region with an 11-1 record. We look forward to the tournament and playing some of the top teams from other regions, as well as trying to qualify for the national tournament in Fort Myers, Florida, in early April.
