Hospitality management and dietetics department head attends Scottish conference
Jeannie Sneed, head of the department of hospitality management and dietetics in the College of Human Ecology, attended Scotland’s National Food and Drink Conference in Perth recently.
While in Scotland, she visited two primary schools and two secondary schools to learn about school meals programs. She also visited the cooking bus, which travels across Scotland to teach people about nutrition and health through cooking. She met with the international minister and the deputy director of food and drink and with Joe Goldblatt, a professor at Queen Margaret University, to talk about opportunities for students to study event planning in Scotland.
