Texas A&M geography professor emerita to discuss geography education
The K-State geography department continues a long tradition of hosting the past president of the American Association of Geographers for a spring semester colloquium.
Sarah Bednarz, professor emerita of geography at Texas A&M University, will present a public seminar, "Locating Geography Education," at 3 p.m. Friday, March 10, in Town Hall at the Leadership Studies Building. The seminar is sponsored by the geography department and the Beta Psi chapter of Gamma Theta Upsilon, the international geographical honor society.
Bednarz's work focuses on spatial and geographic thinking at a range of educational levels. She also has worked extensively on pre- and in-service development for early and mid-career faculty in university settings.
