Center for Engagement and Community Development's 2012 Engagement Symposium Thursday
The Center for Engagement and Community Development's 2012 Engagement Symposium, "A Day of Learning: Communities Engaging Landscape," will be from 12-5 p.m., Thursday in the K-State Student Union.
The event will begin with open viewing of posters at 12 p.m. followed by a welcome by David Procter, the center's director, and the keynote address by Robin Moore. Moore's address is titled "Natural Learning Initiative." Both Procter's welcome and Moore's address will be hosted in the Flint Hills Room.
Moore has worked in the field of landscape architecture as an educator, researcher and consultant. He is an international authority on the design of children's play and learning environments, user needs research and participatory public open space design.
