Submitted by Anissa Zagonel

The College of Agriculture and Gamma Sigma Delta will host an Undergraduate Research Showcase from 1-3 p.m. Friday, April 21, in rooms 123 and 126 the Leadership Studies Building. The Undergraduate Research Showcase will be followed by refreshments and the Gamma Sigma Delta Spring Reception at 3:30 p.m.

Participation criteria and other details for the Undergraduate Research Showcase:

• Undergraduate students in the College of Agriculture or students working with faculty in the College of Agriculture who have conducted or completed a research project between April 15, 2016, and now are eligible.

• A student who graduated in December 2016 with a Bachelor of Science and conducted research as an undergraduate. Undergraduate students who are conducting research related to food or agriculture are eligible to participate.

• To participate, students must submit an abstract, less than 300 words, by midnight Friday, April 7, via email to Barry Bradford at bbradfor@k-state.edu. Title the email subject line "GSD Undergraduate Research (Your last name)."

• All presentations will be in a poster format. Posters presented at other meetings may be used, or the College of Agriculture will pay for poster printing if needed. Poster digital files for printing — PDF format preferred — need to be submitted by Thursday, April 13.

• Poster size may be 5 feet long by 3 feet wide. If another size was already used for presenting at a meeting, it is not necessary to reprint the poster.

Gamma Sigma Delta will provide monetary prizes of $100 each for the top three posters. Students will be expected to be with their posters from 1-3 p.m. Friday, April 21, to answer questions from judges.
