The Kansas State University College of Business Administration has recently awarded $210,000 in Vanier Family scholarships to incoming freshman for fall 2017.
Of the $210,000 total, $140,000 was given via the Vanier Family Business Administration Scholarship, which awards $5,000 per year to students with demonstrable financial needs. Students who receive this scholarship are eligible to renew it for up to four years by maintaining a 3.5 cumulative GPA.
Another $70,000 was dispersed in Vanier Family Business Administration First-Generation Scholarships, which awards $2,500 to students who are the first in their families to attend college. The scholarships are renewable for up to four years by students who maintain a 2.75 cumulative GPA.
"We are truly thankful of the generosity shown by the Vanier family to impact the lives of so many students," said Kevin Gwinner, Edgerley family dean of the College of Business Administration. "Providing scholarships to first generation students and those with financial need aligns closely with Kansas State's land-grant mission to serve the people of the state. We look forward to welcoming these students to our college in the fall."
