Brite receives national administration award
Joyce Brite, office administrator of the Division of Biology's Kansas Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit, was awarded the 2016 Cooperative Research Unit Administrative Excellence Award from the Wildlife Management Institute.
Brite has provided administrative support for the Kansas Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit, one of 40 Cooperative Research Units in the U.S., since its establishment at K-State in 1991.
For the 25th anniversary of the Kansas unit in 2016, Brite compiled the history of the Kansas unit including all graduate students supported by the unit; a listing of all research projects and associated research sponsors; and a comprehensive reporting of all research products. This 264-page report is a complete documentation of the history of the Kansas unit.
