Kansas State Polytechnic to host Council of Development Finance Agencies Oklahoma/Kansas Financing Roundtable on June 8
Kansas State Polytechnic will host a special one-day Council of Development Finance Agencies, or CDFA, Oklahoma/Kansas Financing Roundtable on June 8.
The event will feature economic development finance experts who will discuss finance tools, authorities, resources and approaches, and how to boost the economies of Oklahoma and Kansas. Topics will include state and federal development finance programs, energy efficiency financing programs, creative approaches to infrastructure financing, and small business financing solutions for university technologies. Lunchtime and afternoon sessions will feature Kansas State Polytechnic's unmanned aircraft systems programs and the Applied Aviation Research Center.
Kurt Barnhart, associate dean of research at Kansas State Polytechnic, said he appreciates the opportunity to showcase UAS.
"We at K-State Polytechnic are extremely pleased to host this CDFA event in Salina focused on unmanned systems technology. We think this technology is highly important to the future of the economy of Kansas, and anything we can do to move that needle forward and help entrepreneurs is good for all of us," Barnhart said.
Barnhart and co-presenters from the city of Salina and the Salina Airport Authority will discuss the public-private partnership that financed the Applied Aviation Research Center, and Barnhart will help lead an interactive tour and demonstration at the center.
The council works to spread knowledge of best practices within the development finance industry. Find full conference information and register or read more about CDFA.
