A letter from Senior Vice Provost Ruth Dyer
Dear K-State Community,
The Campus Master Plan Update process continues to move forward. Representatives from Ayers Saint Gross, Martin/Alexiou/Bryson (transportation planning), and Vireo (landscape architecture) will be on the Manhattan campus May 1-3 reporting about what they have heard from K-State campus and community members during previous open campus meetings and listening sessions.
Two open campus meetings are scheduled:
- Thursday May 3, 1:30 to 2:30 p.m., Little Theater in K-State Student Union
- Thursday May 3, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., Little Theater in K-State Student Union
The focus of both meetings will be a presentation on the analysis of existing campus conditions. The same content will be presented at both meetings; multiple opportunities to attend are provided to encourage campus participation in the planning process. For those who cannot attend in person, the 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. meeting will be video-streamed and available on K-State HD TV. Students, faculty, staff and community members are invited and encouraged to attend one of the open campus meetings this week. These events will be identical in format and content to those conducted the week of March 26.
Input from campus and community members continues to be collected via a Web-based survey. Access to the survey is available from the Campus Master Plan Update website, http://www.k-state.edu/masterplan/. Click on the Submit your Feedback tab on the left-hand side of the page or go to http://www.k-state-masterplan2012.com/ to access the survey directly.
Thank you in advance for sharing your thoughts about the future of Kansas State University. We look forward to seeing you at the open campus meetings!
Sincerely,
Ruth A. Dyer, Ph.D.
Senior Vice Provost for Academic Affairs
Chair, Campus Master Plan Update Task Force
