Submitted by College of Human Ecology
Austin Anderson has accepted the position of Professional Mentoring Program coordinator in the College of Human Ecology. Anderson, a 2013 graduate in public relations, comes to the college after three years with K-State Athletics and one year with the Big 12 Conference. He will oversee the college's mentorship program for juniors, seniors and graduate students.
The Professional Mentoring Program provides students with the opportunity to learn from highly successful and experienced professionals by forging long-lasting, professional relationships with alumni and friends of K-State who volunteer their time to help students prepare professionally and succeed in their chosen career.
"We welcome Austin to our college family and look forward to his leadership of the Professional Mentoring Program," said Bronwyn Fees, associate dean. "The mentoring program is one of our college programs designed to engage students in transformational experiences while pursuing their degree and to support them as they prepare for their future professional roles. Austin brings a wealth of experience working closely with students as well as professionals in the diverse fields represented in the college."
Juniors, seniors or graduate students in the College of Human Ecology interested in applying for the mentorship program can contact mentoradmin@k-state.edu.
