Office of International Programs is accepting nominations for the 2017 International Educator of the Year award
The Office of International Programs is now accepting nominations for the 2017 International Educator of the Year award. Nominations are due by 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 29. The International Educator of the Year award reception is a big part of K-State's International Education Week, which will be celebrated Nov. 9-17.
This award recognizes an individual making significant contributions to advancing international education at K-State. Faculty, staff, administrators or other members of the K-State community may be honored for major contributions and sustained commitment to internationalizing the university.
"The international educator of the year award is a great celebration for our K-State community," said Marcellus Caldas, assistant provost for international faculty collaborations and educational programs. "It represents 17 years of faculty and staff commitment to highlight those individuals that are elevating international awareness, global education and exchange."
The honoree will be presented with a $1,000 award and a plaque at the International Educator of the Year award reception in the late afternoon on Thursday, Nov. 16, in the Hemisphere Room at the Hale Library.
