Movement Challenge week two highlights
Submitted by Human Capital Services
Week one of the 2017 Movement Challenge is complete and if you haven't already it is now time to report your activity in the Week One eReport. Your activity will be counted toward your department totals to determine the first week's leaderboards for the departmental competition. The deadline to report your week one activity is noon Tuesday, Aug. 29.
HealthQuest points
Participants who report activity all six weeks of the challenge will earn four HealthQuest credits. Plan C Members can also earn health savings account dollars. This challenge is organized for K-State and is for K-State employees only. You will report activity through the eReports each week, not through the HealthQuest portal. Human Capital Services will report to HealthQuest the individuals who entered activity all six weeks of the challenge.
Prizes
Prizes have been donated by various businesses and organizations. Each week, prizewinners will be chosen from postings on social media using the hashtag #purpleisprogress and from those that enter activity in each week's eReport. Prizes include Fitbits, gift certificates for a month of CrossFit, free salads from Just Salad, a one-on-one consultation with a Hy-Vee dietitian, K-State items from the K-State Student Union bookstore and more.
Week two
The Movement Challenge is a great opportunity to push yourself to choose healthy activities in your everyday life. It also is a way to connect and participate with your colleagues. Take a walking meeting, meet up with the Women of K-State Wednesday Walks, or find a way to promote healthy physical activity during the day within your office or department.
Week two's challenge is focused on finding ways to unite with your department to focus on your physical well-being. Post your activities on social media using #purpleisprogress to inspire others and document your fun.
Week one results
Week one results from the Movement Challenge will be posted later this week. Watch K-State Today and the Human Capital Services website for updates.
