New speaker series: What Matters to Me and Why?
A new lunchtime speaker series, What Matters to Me and Why?, will start Sept. 14.
The purpose of the series is to encourage reflection within the K-State community on matters of personal values, beliefs and motivations in order to better understand the lives and inspirations of those who serve and shape the university. Each month, a presenter will share stories of their personal journey — how they have chosen to live their life, the core values they have adopted, the personal choices they have made, and lessons they have learned. There also will be time for group reflection and conversation.
Tim de Noble, professor and dean of the College of Architecture Planning & Design, will share stories of his personal journey, from noon to 1 p.m. Sept. 14 in Town Hall at the Leadership Studies Building
A free box lunch will be provided starting at 11:45 a.m., and an RSVP is requested. Visit k-state.edu/leadership/events/journeys.html to sign up and see the entire fall speaker line up.
This event is co-sponsored by the Staley School of Leadership Studies, the College of Education and the President's Committee on Religion.
