University of Illinois professor to give agricultural economics seminar today
Barrett Kirwan from the University of Illinois will present a seminar, "Charity Hazard in Crop Insurance," at 3:30 p.m. today in the 342 Waters Hall conference room.
Kirwan is an assistant professor in the agricultural and consumer economics department at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. He received his doctorate in economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2005. Prior to joining the faculty at Illinois, Kirwan was an assistant professor at the University of Maryland in the agricultural and resource economics department. He has published in the American Journal of Agricultural Economics and the Journal of Political Economy.
