Invitation to submit water research abstracts
The Kansas Center for Agricultural Resources and the Environment invites K-State researchers and students to submit abstracts on water research for the Governor's Conference on the Future of Water in Kansas.
The submission deadline for professionals is Oct. 2, and the deadline for students is Oct. 16. The conference will focus on four themes: water conservation, water management, technology and crop varieties and additional sources of supply. Any research areas are invited to submit abstracts, but those relevant to Kansas are most encouraged.
This year's conference will be Nov. 8-9 in Manhattan. The purpose of the event is to bring together all stakeholders — scientists, water managers, state and federal officials and legislators, city and county administrators, environmental organizations, irrigators and citizens — who share an interest in the water resources around the state.
More information about submissions and registration can be found on the Kansas Water Office website.
