Roshanravan to present American Ethnic Studies Showcase inaugural lecture
Submitted by Yolanda Broyles-Gonzalez
In the current year, American ethnic studies department faculty have presented research lectures around the globe, including in Canada, Mexico, the Netherlands, Cuba, Morocco, Australia, New Zealand and Yoeme Nation.
The department will sponsor an American Ethnic Studies Showcase lecture once per month across the academic year for presenters to share their research.
Shireen Roshanravan, associate professor of American ethnic studies, will present the inaugural lecture, "Ethnic Fraud and the Coalitional Praxis of (Dis)Integration," at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 28, in 1 Leasure Hall.
The lecture series is tailored for student audiences, and also will be of interest to faculty.
