Speaker to address 'Your One Wild and Precious Life'
At the end of her poem "The Summer Day" Mary Oliver asks a question that captures the attention: "What is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?"
Join Molly Marshall, president of Central Seminary in Shawnee, to consider how to bring spirituality and leadership together in living a life that makes a difference at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 9, in the Flint Hills Room at the K-State Student Union.
Marshall is a trailblazer in interfaith and intercultural engagement, vocal advocate for justice, peace and care of the Earth, and a strong supporter of women in ministry. Her leadership as a seminary president and as a longtime educator is widely respected and has made a difference in countless lives.
A Q&A discussion will follow the lecture.
Marshall's visit to K-State is hosted by Ecumenical Campus Ministry at Kansas State University, funded by a grant from the Lilly Endowment, Inc., and the Kansas Bible Chair.
