Lafene Health Center's annual health fair offers flu shots, information and prizes
Lafene Health Center's 21st annual campus health fair will be 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2, in the courtyard of the K-State Student Union.
Flu shots will be available to all K-State faculty and staff and their family members who are 18 years or older and students. Cost of the vaccination is $20 for faculty, staff and family members, and $15 for students.
This year's fair, "To Lafene and Beyond," is co-sponsored by SHAC, the Student Health Advisory Committee. The goal of the fair is to increase student awareness of health services and programs available at K-State.
This is a great opportunity for students to come and learn about Lafene services in a relaxed, fun atmosphere. Students will be able to meet physicians, nurses and other health professional staff from Lafene and ask them questions. Many health-related displays will be available for viewing. There will also be a chance to win some great prizes, including gift certificates and T-shirts.
Along with departments from Lafene Health Center, recreational services and counseling services will be available with displays and give aways. Students will also have a chance to talk to peer organization groups.
