Board of Regents research scholars program available to faculty
Submitted by Communications and Marketing
The Kansas Board of Regents invites faculty of Kansas public universities to address educational research topics relevant to the board and the Kansas State Department of Education through the Kansas Education Research Scholars Program. A maximum of eight, $5,000 stipends may be awarded to fund selected research proposals.
The research scholars program is designed to:
- Engage researchers in targeted research of interest to Kansas education stakeholders,
- Develop a tradition of Kansas-focused educational research to promote improvement in Kansas public education,
- Provide priority access to data from the Statewide Longitudinal Data System, a joint effort between the board and the education department, and
- Generate opportunities for the department and the board to learn from researchers.
Ten research topics have been identified that are of mutual interest to the department and the board. Research proposals must respond to at least one of the identified topics.
The request for proposals, which includes complete information on the project, timelines, research topics, and additional information for submissions, is available on the board's website at http://www.kansasregents.org/kansas_education_research_scholars_program.
If you have questions about the program, please contact Vanessa Lamoreaux at the Kansas Board of Regents office at 785-296-3421, or by email at vlamoreaux@ksbor.org.
