Oct. 26 Thirsty Thursday for faculty to spotlight collaborative proposals
The final fall 2017 Thirsty Thursday for K-State faculty is 5:30-7 p.m. Oct. 26 at the Manhattan Country Club, 1531 N. 10th St. Faculty from all disciplines are welcome.
The covered topic will be collaborative proposals, particularly opportunities to submit concept papers to the consulting firm McAllister and Quinn for advice and assistance. The next round of submissions is due Dec. 15 — view a PDF of the solicitation — and the event goal is to help university faculty team up and form collaborative proposal groups.
Beth Montelone, associate vice president for research and sponsored programs, will give an overview of the process, and be on hand to answer questions. Remaining time will be dedicated to informal discussions about research interests and opportunities.
Hors d'oeuvres will be provided, along with a cash bar. Thirsty Thursday is hosted by the College of Arts and Sciences and the K-State Social Club.
