K-State teams place at regional competition
Two student competition teams from the architectural engineering and construction science department placed second in their respective divisions at the annual Associated Schools of Construction Region 4 2017 Construction Management Competition, Oct. 25-28, in Nebraska City, Nebraska.
Representing K-State in the design-build division was the team of Joshua Abel, Randal Chushuk, Austin Pfannenstiel, Daniel Straub, A.J. Wertzberger and Jackson Wicker. Shannon Casebeer, assistant professor of architectural engineering and construction science, was their coach.
The commercial division team, coached by Katie Loughmiller, assistant professor of architectural engineering and construction science, and regional director of the commercial division, included Hayden Borth, Rachel Jackson, Branson Kocher, Shane Maloney, Sam McArthur and Nathan Sterns.
The Associated Schools of Construction student competition is held annually for the 18 universities from the seven states of Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota and Minnesota represented by Region 4.
