Sprint youth marketing expert and Kansas State University alumnus Javier Quinonez to speak as part of Sports Marketing Speaker Series

Javier Quinonez, a youth marketing expert for Sprint and Kansas State University alumnus, will be a featured speaker for the MKTG630 Sports Marketing Speaker Series.
The lecture will begin at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 9, in the K-State Business Building Lecture Hall. The event is open to the public and no ticket is required.
Quinonez, a spring 2016 K-State graduate with a degree in marketing, formed a team called Candybar made up of some of the best Generation Z and Millennial marketing experts to manage Sprint's youth marketing efforts. Candybar, with the support of Sprint CEO Marcelo Claure, has focused on positioning the Sprint brand to empower youth and engage with them on a more intimate level.
Quinonez has worked with some of world's top influencers, including Usain Bolt. Most recently he and his team built Sprint's #LiveUnlimited campaign around the use of powerful social media influencers like Lele Pons and Prince Royce. Their work was named No. 1 Influencer Marketing Campaign by Forbes and featured in major multimedia operations around the world including Inc. and Entrepreneur magazine.
The Sports Marketing Speaker Series is organized by marketing professor Doug Walker as part of the curriculum for his Marketing 630 class.
