Last chance for drone training in 2017

Submitted by Kirsten Zoller

Kansas State Polytechnic is offering several unmanned aviation courses this month. These will be the last training courses in 2017.

SUAS Commercial Remote Pilot is scheduled for Nov. 13-15. This course prepares attendees for the FAA written exam to be a remote pilot in command. The course fee includes the FAA exam, administered on Nov. 16.

Basic Multirotor Flight Training, Nov. 16-17, provides attendees hands on flight training on a multirotor UAS. These basic skills will set a solid foundation for individuals to build and expand their UAS operations.

UAS Night Operations on Nov. 17 covers all areas of how to prepare for a night operation, including flight basics at night, necessary waivers and exemptions and how to setup the operation.

All courses are open for registration through noon Friday, Nov. 10. K-State employees and students receive a 50 percent discount on all course fees. Find course details and register online.
