USS Senate reminds staff about the Unity Walk, KSUnite
Dear fellow University Support Staff,
Tuesday afternoon the university will close from 1-3 p.m. so staff, students and faculty may attend the Unity Walk and KSUnite. This occasion will bring our campus community together in a display of unity against discrimination and hate. KSUnite will be unlike anything we have seen before; the last time the university cancelled courses and closed offices was 1916. This unprecedented event will serve as an opportunity to reaffirm a culture and atmosphere of inclusion of Kansas State University.
As part of the campus community, we, as staff, show support for students, colleagues and the Wildcat community by completing our daily work to the best of our abilities. Tomorrow you will be able to show support through your participation at KSUnite. Wear your purple, dress for the elements, and join your fellow Wildcats tomorrow, starting at 1 p.m. for the Unity Walk to Anderson Lawn. KSUnite event will follow the walk, then there will be breakout sessions in the K-State Student Union. Read a more detail schedule and outline of the breakout sessions.
I look forward to you joining us tomorrow for this important moment in Kansas State University history.
Standing united with K-State,
Carrie Fink
USS Senate President
