College of Human Ecology announces outstanding senior award winners

The College of Human Ecology will recognize 13 outstanding senior award winners at the annual Graduation Honors and Student Awards celebration on Friday, Dec. 8.
This year's outstanding senior award winners were nominated by faculty and staff within each of their respective programs.
The Engagement Award is given to graduating seniors who have made exemplary contributions that impact the well-being of the community or individuals in the community. The Leadership Award is given to graduating seniors who have exhibited excellence in leadership and have been recognized for their contributions to the campus, college, program and professional organizations. The Outstanding Research and Creative Activity award is given to graduating seniors whose research or creative activity has made a significant contribution to his or her field of study.
The following students are recipients of an outstanding senior award from the college:
Stormie Hittle, hospitality management, Concordia; is receiving the Outstanding Student Engagement Award.
Hannah Carlgren, communication sciences and disorders, Newton, is receiving the Outstanding Student Leadership Award.
Madeline Briscoe, human development and family science, is receiving the Outstanding Student Leadership Award; and Jacob Lofquist, kinesiology, is receiving the Outstanding Student Research and Creative Activity Award, both from Overland Park.
Anna Sunderland, communication sciences and disorders, Sabetha, is receiving the Outstanding Student Engagement Award.
Courtney Hoffman, personal financial planning and family studies and human services, Salina, is receiving the Outstanding Student Leadership Award.
Kaitlin Albert, human development and family science, Smith Center, is receiving the Outstanding Student Engagement Award.
From Topeka: Taylor Gnagi, human development and family science, is receiving the Outstanding Student Research and Creative Activity Award; Jennifer Jackson, kinesiology, is receiving the Outstanding Student Leadership Award; and Allison Vollintine, communication sciences and disorders, is receiving the Outstanding Student Research and Creative Activity Award.
Patience Ivy, athletic training, Wichita, is receiving the Outstanding Student Engagement Award.
Kendall Reynolds, kinesiology, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, is receiving the Outstanding Student Engagement Award.
Mandel Smith, dietetics, Limerick, Pennsylvania, is receiving the Outstanding Student Engagement Award.
