Director of Office of Institutional Equity finalists to present open forums

The search committee for the director of the Office of Institutional Equity announces three final candidates and their open forum times. The following forums will be in the Wildcat Chamber of the K-State Student Union:
- Scott Jones, interim director of the Office of Institutional Equity at Kansas State University, 2-3 p.m. Monday, Jan. 29.
- Alesia Smith, executive director of the Office of Institutional Equity at Clemson University, 2-3 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 31.
- Ameerah McBride, special assistant to the chancellor and director of equal opportunity and access at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, 2-3 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 8.
Application materials, complete itineraries and feedback surveys for each candidate can be found on the Human Capital Services website.
The open forum topic is, "Given the current national conversation regarding topics such as sexual misconduct, diversity, and harassment; what do you feel are the next steps for higher education in responding to these challenges?"
K-State students, faculty and staff are encouraged to attend the open forum presentations. For those unable to attend in person, the open forums will be streamed live and archived on the Human Capital Services website for 24 hours.
