Doctoral student awarded dissertation research fellowship award
Kate Tietzen, a doctoral candidate and graduate teaching assistant in the history department, was awarded the 2018 Society for Military History Allan R. Millett Dissertation Research Fellowship Award.
The award is for graduate students in the dissertation writing stage of their doctoral program, and whose research is emblematic of the society's mission to further the study of military history.
The working title of Tietzen's dissertation is "Iraq in the Cold War and beyond the fall of the Soviet Union, 1968-2003."
