Architectural engineering and construction science faculty member presents at Faculty Boot Camp
Tom Logan, associate professor of architectural engineering and construction science, presented at the Mechanical Electrical Academic Consortium Faculty Boot Camp at Milwaukee School of Engineering, June 5-7. Sponsored by the Mechanical Contracting Education and Research Foundation, the event unites mechanical construction faculty from across the U.S. to provide instruction related to various aspects of the industry.
Experienced university faculty, most with extensive industry background, present in workshop format fundamentals of various mechanical systems, building information modeling, estimating and scheduling. Logan presented three of 15 sessions.
The Mechanical Contracting Education Research Foundation has sponsored the Boot Camp since 2007 at campuses across the country with a goal is to better prepare faculty to teach mechanical construction curriculum, in turn enticing more students to become estimators, project managers and future executives in the mechanical construction industry.
Logan was successful in promoting Kansas State University as the host site for the June 2013 Mechanical Electrical Academic Consortium Boot Camp.
