Student Governing Association and Center for Student Involvement collaborate on student organization survey
The Student Governing Association and the Center for Student Involvement are seeking student organization leaders' feedback via a student organization survey.
In the fall 2017 semester, the structure of student organizations changed with the implementation of the student organization policy. The university sees the importance of connecting with organizations in a consistent way; thus, as groups become increasingly specialized in various activities, K-State felt it was best to distinguish university-sponsored organizations and those that operate independently by creating distinctions of Departmental Student Organizations, or DSOs, and Independent Student Organizations, or ISOs.
As the one-year mark of this transition approaches, SGA has collaborated with the center to check in with registered student organizations to hear how they are transitioning and identify resources to greatly benefit registered organizations moving forward. Student leaders are encouraged to provide feedback and suggestions via the survey.
We greatly appreciate your insight and ideas. Thank you for your input, and go Cats!
Questions can be directed to Sadie Polson, director of organizations and ARH outreach for Student Governing Association, at scpolson@k-state.edu, or Kelli Farris, director of the Center for Student Involvement, at kellifarris@k-state.edu.
