Facilitate an activity for STEM outreach

Submitted by Sara Heiman

2017 GROW Summer Workshop

K-State faculty, staff and students are invited to facilitate hands-on activities for middle and high school students at the Girls Researching Our World, or GROW, and Exploring Science, Technology and Engineering, or EXCITE, summer workshops June 6-8 at Kansas State University.

These programs, organized by the K-State Advancement of Women in Science and Engineering, or KAWSE, are designed to encourage and support girls' interest in science, technology, engineering and math, or STEM, fields.

A large variety of STEM-focused activities are needed to showcase academic and career options for students. Activity proposal forms are available online and will be accepted until April 27.

Visit the KAWSE website to learn more.
