Plant pathology Graduate Student Club to host invited speaker Sarah Davidson Evanega

Sarah Davidson Evanega, director of the Cornell Alliance for Science and senior associate director of international programs, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, will be the invited speaker for the plant pathology department's Graduate Student Club.
Evanega will present "The Alliance for Science: Building Alliances, Embracing Advocacy" at 3:45 p.m. Thursday, April 5, in 1018 Throckmorton Plant Sciences Center.
The Cornell Alliance for Science is a global communications effort that promotes evidence-based decision-making in agriculture. Evanega also holds an adjunct appointment in the Section of Plant Breeding and Genetics in the School of Integrative Plant Sciences at Cornell. In addition, she is a senior fellow at the Breakthrough Institute. Evanega was instrumental in launching the CALS initiative, AWARE, or Advancing Women in Agriculture through Research and Education, which promotes women in agriculture.
