Civil engineering professor receives dissertation award
Landon Marston, Kansas State University assistant professor of civil engineering, is the first place recipient in the Universities Council on Water Resources 2018 Ph.D. Dissertation Award in the water policy and socio-economics category.
Marston will receive the award at the council's annual water resources conference, in conjunction with the National Institute of Water Resources, in June in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He has also been invited to present his work, "Human mediated physical and virtual water transfers of the United States: Who uses the water?", at the conference.
The Universities Council on Water Resources was founded in 1964 as an expansion of the Universities Council on Hydrology. It is an association of universities and organizations leading in education, research and public service in water resources.
