Provost names search committee for interim dean and CEO of K-State Polytechnic

April Mason, provost and senior vice president, has appointed the search committee for an interim dean and CEO of K-State Polytechnic. This will be an internal search open to all current employees of Kansas State University, with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2018.

Search committee members are:

  • Kevin Gwinner, committee chair, dean of the College of Business Administration. 
  • Patricia Ackerman, professor in the Polytechnic School of Integrated Studies. 
  • Kooper Bardin, sophomore in aeronautical technology. 
  • Raju Dandu, professor in the Polytechnic School of Integrated Studies. 
  • Pamela Erickson, director of student and faculty services at K-State Global Campus. 
  • Terri Gaeddert, director of academic operations at K-State Polytechnic. 
  • Annette Hernandez, office specialist in the Polytechnic School of Integrated Studies. 
  • Daran Neuschafer, American Family Insurance — Neuschafer & Associates, Inc.
  • Nicholas Ramirez, junior in aeronautical technology. 
  • Tim Rogers, executive director of Salina Airport Authority. 
  • Eric Shappee, professor in the Polytechnic School of Integrated Studies.
  • Andrew Smith, professor in the Polytechnic School of Integrated Studies. 
  • Christopher Smith, executive director of enrollment management and marketing at K-State Polytechnic.
  • Richard Zajac, professor in the Polytechnic School of Integrated Studies.

The interim dean and CEO of K-State Polytechnic will take over leadership for Verna Fitzsimmons who will retire. A national search will be conducted later for permanent leadership with more details to follow.
