The salute to the personal financial planning program in the School of Family Studies and Human Services follows Fort Riley Financial Readiness Day, the first financial planning day at any military installation. It is sponsored by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Financial Planning Association, Association for Financial Counseling and Planning Education and the Foundation for Financial Planning.
The Institute of Personal Financial Planning and the Institute for the Health and Security of Military Families at K-State are honorary partners.
The College of Human Ecology’s Personal Financial Planning doctoral program is one of only four registered with the Certified Financial Planner board and the first in the nation to be conducted largely online. Students spend three summer sessions on the Manhattan campus.
