Vacation leave accruals for June
Submitted by Human Capital Services
Full-time employees did not accrue vacation leave for pay periods ending May 19, and June 2. Employees who did accrue are part-time or began employment after June 2017 and have not accumulated the full 176 hours in the 2018 fiscal year.
All benefit-eligible employees earn vacation leave the first and second bi-weekly pay periods during the first 11 months of the fiscal year, July-June. Vacation leave earned will not exceed 176 hours per fiscal year. The maximum balance limit of vacation leave accrual is 304 hours after which leave will not be accrued.
When viewing your leave accrual report in HRIS Self Service, you may notice a negative 16 hours in the "Lost" column. These hours reflect the 16-hour adjustment to vacation leave and not hours lost. As a reminder, there will be no vacation leave accrual for pay period ending June 16 since it is the third paycheck of the month. The "Lost" column will reflect the 24 hours not accrued in June.
