Geology professor speaks at international congress
Saugata Datta, associate professor of geology, was a seminal speaker at the fourth International Congress on Arsenic in the Environment in Cairns, Australia, from July 22-27.
The congress's theme was "Understanding the Geological-Medical Interface of Arsenic." Datta's speech was titled "Sediment and hydrogeochemical contrasts between low and very high arsenic affected areas west and east of river Bhagirathi, West Bengal, India."
