A thank you from New Student Services to the campus community
On behalf of New Student Services Orientation and Enrollment programs, we thank the K-State community for its support and involvement in helping us welcome our incoming students during the 13-day program. Our Orientation and Enrollment programs helped prepare a strong freshmen and transfer class to join the K-State family this fall.
As we prepared for the start of our programs, we experienced some challenges — which we overcame — thanks to the support of the K-State community. We thank the many faculty and staff members who provided incredible time, support and energy to bring systems up, allowing students participating in Orientation and Enrollment to be minimally impacted. We also thank central IT, the vice president for student life technology team, the Office of Admissions, and countless other individuals and units who put in extra effort and hours to support the program and its success this summer.
This year, we added a great new enhancement to our Wildcat Warm-up extended orientation program, by adding a three-hour Intercultural Immersion Experience. This program aligns with K-State's initiatives on diversity and inclusion. We thank Adrian Rodriguez, associate vice president for student life for diversity and multicultural student affairs, and his team for collaborating on this great initiative.
We look forward to continuing our partnerships with the K-State community as we move forward this coming year, and look forward to welcoming incoming students through our orientation programs.
