Tamara Bauer selected as coordinator for New Faculty Institute
The Teaching and Learning Center welcomes Tamara Bauer, instructor in the Staley School of Leadership Studies, as the coordinator for the New Faculty Institute program.
Bauer provides educational experiences that rely on transformational leadership theories both within and outside the classroom. As an expert in leadership in practice, she looks forward to working with the group of new faculty who will become part of the New Faculty Institute program this fall.
Bauer received her Master of Science in counseling and student development from K-State in 2011, having earned her Bachelor of Science in life sciences with minors in biology and leadership studies, also from K-State in 2005. Additionally, she has taken courses from the College of Education toward her doctoral degree.
New Faculty Institute participants first meet at the New Faculty-Staff Orientation Aug. 14, and then at three regular sessions each semester during the academic year. All sessions are hosted by university faculty leaders with expertise in the topic areas.
