International buddies invites faculty, staff to partner with Ecuadorian teachers
A new program at K-State is helping teachers from Ecuador become more proficient in English while learning how to teach English as a second language.
The Go Teacher program is bringing about 70 Ecuadorians to K-State for the fall semester. Many of the Ecuadorians will be joining a program run by the office of international programs called international buddies. International buddies pairs a local student, faculty, staff or community member with an international student, staff or community member as a language, culture and friendship exchange. Since many of the teachers from Ecuador are older than the typical K-State student, international buddies is looking for K-State faculty and staff members to sign up and get matched up with one of the Ecuadorian teachers.
If you are interested in signing up for international buddies, please visit the website and complete the sign-up form in the upper right part of the screen.
