Cat Band Auditions end this week
Submitted by School of Music, Theatre, and Dance
Kansas State University students are invited to audition for the K-State Cat Band through Wednesday, Oct. 3.
The K-State Cat Band performs at the men's and women's home basketball games. All members of the Cat Band receive a free polo and have the opportunity to travel with the teams to the Big 12, NCAA and/or NIT tournaments. Students can opt to take Cat Band for zero or one credit. This ensemble is split into two bands so members are not playing at every game. In addition to a five-minute audition, Cat Bands meet for three two-hour rehearsals in the month of October.
Auditions end Wednesday, Oct. 3. For more information about audition requirements, audition signups and other information, please visit the Cat Band website or email Alexander Wimmer at amwimmer@k-state.edu.
The School of Music, Theatre, and Dance is part of the College of Arts and Sciences. The school annually gives more than $500,000 in undergraduate scholarships and graduate scholarships and assistantships. To learn more about the School of Music Theatre, and Dance at K-State, visit their website.
